GOD OF WAR Script Leaked
We'll be honest with you here, dear readers Pandora Bracelets, when we say we don't place much stock into script reviews. As I'm sure most of you veteran Cinescapers remember, we used to
have someone review the latest script for every high profile project back in the late 1990s but over the years, we've seen that more and more scripts
leaked to the net have nothing to do with the finished product. Sometimes Pandora Charms UK, they're leaked on purpose just to see fan reaction and find out what needs correction on the scribe's part. Other times, the
script is leaked by someone with a hidden agenda. In other words, it's usually a first draft or a draft thrown away early on by the studio or director
long before he sits behind the camera. It's probably a great resource for web hits saying "Avatar script reviewed!" or "Poltergeist script reviewed!"
but it's also intellectually dishonest when we know that's not the script that Fox or MGM would be using. There's just way too much room for error
here and there's already enough erroneous reporting on the web. Still, we've noticed that quite a few of you (Wiseguy, Hanso, MutantNinja, here's
where we call you out again) are talking about the upcoming God of War adaptation Pandora Charms UK, based on the best-selling Playstation game. So, we'll pass along a script review that's been making rounds on the interweb this
week courtesy of CC2K. If you don't mind knowing what's going down in a script long before the film hits theaters, we suggest you click here to see
the review of the game's script treatment. It's still too early in the development process for Universal Pictures to announce a release date or
casting choices but Brett Ratner is set to direct. Plot Concept: Based on the popular video game created by Sony Computer Entertainment back in the
summer of 2005. Set in ancient Greece, the game follows the battles of the warrior Kratos, who tackles mythological beasts including Medusa, Cyclops
and the Hydra. WTF!! He's the God of War why the hell would he reject being the GoW at the end of the film to go after Hades?
In God of War 2, Kratos does go to the Underworld fairly early in the game if I remember correctly but everything that takes place prior to that was a
result of him being the GoW Pandora UK. That's why the Gods become angry at him and why Zeus betrays him.
I guess the ending can work since Kratos isn't a God for very long in the second game but if the guy is sticking close to the source why change the
ending? The ending of the first game was classic with Kratos assuming the throne and looking all bad ass.
As far as the choices of Kratos, no wrestlers. Kratos isn't a huge dude, he's a strong [Censored] and has the build that Butler had
in 300. The guy from Blood Diamond would be cool but he's black and Kratos isn't. Yes he is voiced by a black man but the character isn't black.
I think Eric Bana could play him.
Yes it's possible if they take the [Censored] seriously and not some quick money grab. When Hollywood starts treating video games
like they do some of the comic book property then we'll see some awesome films based on video games.
Lot of the games have great stories that can translate to film but the studios rather rush out any [Censored] and hope the name brand
will get them a few bucks. That's why we get stuck with the raping of video games like Max Payne, Hitman and game companies like Capcom that don't
give a [Censored] what happens to their games as long as they are getting paid so they let their franchises get raped (Resident Evil,
Street Fighter).
God of War is a film that can do that, 300 proved a success and God of War done in the same vein can be just as succesful. The problem the film may
have is that by the time it rolls out audiences may be tired of greek/sword sandals films since there are others in the works.
The only reasoning I can see why they switched the ending up is so that they don't have to have a lot to explain about his time as God of War, which
he wasn't, as Hanso said, for long as far as we are concerened. My thing is though without being the God of War does that mean we'll miss the awesome
ass fight with the giant ass statue in a sequel pandora bracelets? Could they even pull that off in a movie Pandora Charms Uk? I wouldn't have believed they pulled that off on a PS2 back then if you told me. And from what I heard - there is a fight that
makes that fight look like drawing a line in the sand in God of War III. March 2010 can't get here fast enough.
No Dwanyne Johnson or Vin Diesel. We want a good movie, remember? I always said Butler because he sounds like him and looks like him. I mean everytime
I hear him yell "This is Sparta!" I keep thinking that he was the one that did the voice before I remember it was what's his face with the alphabet
name. Just shave his head and put a lot of white ash on him Pandora Jewelry UK. Bulk him up a bit.
The reason why a black man cannot play Kratos is because Kratos is known as the "Ghost of Sparta". One of the reasons he has this title is because he
is white as a ghost (the reasons for which I won't reveal for spoiler reasons. if you want to know Pandora Charms, play the games). But suffice to say, there's a very good reason storywise for Kratos being white. Abandoning that by getting a
black actor would be a serious middle finger to the source material.
And Hanso is absolutely correct. If Hollywood films it 300-style. it'll kick some serious butt in the box office. If, however, it's filmed like Street
Fighter. it'll blow chunks.
