A melodic aria for a Henan Opera fills this performance space,air max 2012, delighting the capacity crowd. The star of the show is 9-year old child prodigy, Ouyang Xiaoyu.

The school summer holidays have officially begun. Some are travelling for beautiful landscapes, but some are spending their two month holiday learning traditional performing arts.

As for now, more than 200 primary schools from several provinces have joined the project. Apart from traditional operas, other forms of Chinese culture including folk music, calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting and more are set to go online, so parents have no excuse for children to be bored this summer.

"Our traditional culture has gained new life through digitalization. It?s a more efficient way of sharing this and it?s more appealing to children. We hope that besides the government,nike air hoopstructure, other segments of society will join in too," said Li Hong with Ministry of Culture.
?It?s very interesting to watch. I used to watch opera but didn?t always understand it. The cartoon videos can teach us a lot and they are also fun to watch,air max bw,? Ma Jiazi said.
?My parents work at an opera troupe. So I learnt a lot from them. I really enjoy performing for everyone here," Ouyang Xiaoyu said.
The cartoon series is part of a big project initiated by the Ministry of Culture, intended to promote traditional arts to children around the country.
And everyone has had the chance to learn more about these traditional operas. This primary school in Wuhan in central China?s Hubei Province is ramping up efforts to make them more accessible to children. A cartoon series focusing on various traditional operas is available here in the school?s digital library.
