Eamonn's -- Cathal Armstrong's Fish Chips. Eamonn named following the Dublin-born Chef Armstrong son, clarisonic Australia, is really a traditional chipper, for the reason that you order at the counter and grab a seat, and watch
for your name to be called together with your order. The wait could be a long one, since things are served fresh there are only 30 seats, including
the counter with stools. Recption menus is squalled on a chalk board that hangs over the cashier counter. You've your basic cod in two sizes and fried
Ray. They provide several selections for sides which includes two sizes of bachelor baked beans, onion rings, camper outlet online store, coleslaw, and peas. They toss in one homemade sauce, and you've got a range of seven, for example
traditional tarter sauce, Rose (ketchup and mayo), Kitty O (capers and kalamata olives), Chesapeake, Hot Chili, Fronch, and Curry. It's not fancy;
your fish and chips is available in a paper bag but you will swear the fish is the freshest that you've ever tasted. The cod is perfectly cooked,
moist, flaky, and also the batter is light and is almost crunchy. (728 King St., Alexandria, VA)
Etete, U Street's Ethiopian neighborhood Gem. I've been here once with my husband and we thought it was an experience of a lifetime. Not everyday
would you eat with your hands using Injera (bread) to sop your food for your mouth. My favorites: the Sambosa (Beef or Lentil: Triangular shaped
pastry crust full of fried beef, green, pepper, jalapeno, onion); the Yefem Tibs (Etete Special) described on the menu as charcoal broiled sliced
prime tender beef marinated in white wine and rosemary, having a touch of garlic and black pepper. (1942 9th St., NW)

Gom Ba Woo, authentic Korean food in Annandale. Gom Ba Woo has which name means, "Bear" makes Washingtonian's 100 Best Restaurant List in 2007 and
continues to make Washingtonian's Cheap Eats list each year. They provide the best Jin Mandoo (steamed dumplings) in the area. The steamed dumplings
portion is big -- enough not less than three people. The Galbitang or the Beef rib soup is one of most often found soups in Korean cuisine and served
at many traditional Korean ceremonies and celebrations. The Galbitang has tender meat, cut in cubes, some still hanging off the bone. It is so tender
you are able to cut it having a spoon. The soup also offers fresh daikon, long green onions, drizzled egg, and chewy rice noodles. It is a bargain so
long as you go and split appetizers with others. Main entrees alone will fill you up on the cheap.
Pho 75 -- With locations in Northern Virginia and Maryland , it's known by many local Vietnamese because the most authentic spot to find pho
(pronounced fuh) within the DC area. This traditional Vietnamese soup is available in over 15 varieties at Pho 75, with bible tripe, blends of flank
steak, brisket, eye of round and tendon. Two other available choices include meatballs or chicken. A mound of silky rice noodles is served immersed in
the savory beef broth and peppered with sliced white and green onions. Pho bowls come in just two sizes: big or small, and are served alongside fresh
basil, bean sprouts, and slices of lime and jalapenos. It is a bargain for sure just $7 for any large bowl. My personal favorite: the #12 with
eye-round and well-done beef brisket.
