What it's like being Mary Poppins
There are some movies that are so classic and so darn good, that you stop channel surfing the instant you stumble across them on TV.
For many, "Mary Poppins" is one of those. So, it's no wonder Orlando is showing enormous interest in the touring Fairwinds Broadway Across America stage production.
Madeline Trumble, a 23-year-old University of Michigan graduate, landed the starring role of the famous nanny. That means she got the biggest and best dressing room inside the Bob Car Performing Arts Center.
Trumble told me she's not used to that treatment, or even having her own TV in there. Looks like she's getting a taste of the "big time."
I spent an afternoon with the actress, red bottom shoes sale, singer and dancer before her second show in Orlando.

ALLISON WALKER: Tell me you felt the energy from the audience on opening night. We were there. It was mighty powerful.
MADELINE TRUMBLE: Yes,sergio rossi outlet, absolutely. It was great. I think [opening night] in Orlando was probably the best audience we've ever had. Yeah, it was great, and everyone seemed to have a really great time. It's easy when the audience is having a good time, and we have a good time.
AW: There are so many "wow" moments like, of course, when Mary Poppins flies. Tell me how you make that happen.
MT: It's magic! It's my own umbrella. He flies for me,christian louboutin sandals for women. (laughing)
AW: Do you get nervous right before those scenes happen?
MT: Not anymore. It's part of my show now, and I fly in the show. I did the first, you know, couple of weeks. I was nervous because you don't do that in every show! But now it's easy.
AW: What about the other magical moments, when things just seem to appear out of nowhere? The coordination -- and working with children -- must pose some challenges.
MT: You know, it's funny. I went to school for musical theater, and you learn how to sing and act and dance, but you don't learn how to do magic and sing and work with kids and the costumes. I've had to learn as I go with this show, and everything's a joy. Everything's a challenge, but it's fun. It's definitely a new experience.
AW: "Mary Poppins" is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again.
MT: My brother and sister do musical theater. My dad was an actor. We watched movie musicals kind of on a loop. And "Mary Poppins" was one of them, so I've seen it -- I don't even know how many times I saw it as a child. It's in my head. It's always in my head. It's kind of crazy that I get to play Mary Poppins every night. I never thought I could do that, that it was even a possibility.
AW: What's the hardest part about becoming Mary Poppins, discount red bottom shoes for women?
MT: The hardest part? I have a hard time with the accent. And wearing a corset is hard. Right before I go on stage every night, sergio rossi pump, I'm always like, "Oh,cheap red bottom shoes online, that's right! I have to talk different when I get out there." It's weird.
AW: Your wardrobe is something else. How many changes to you have to make?
MT: I don't know, A lot. Pretty much every time I'm off stage, I'm changing. There's someone who travels with us that changes me, and a dresser, a local in every city. So,Coast Dresses, there's two people helping me change, cheap christian louboutin shoes sale, and then I've also got a hair girl that does my hats in the quick changes. But I have two changes at the top of the show that, cheap red bottom shoes, I think, are 20 seconds -- complete with tights, shoes, hat, complete costume. Everything changes, buy red bottom shoes, but I've never missed it. I've made it every single time.
